What build is he running? The 'brave warrior' is using balthazar's spirit, essence bond, zealots fire, reversal of fortune, kinetic armor, ether prodigy, and two other skills I can't make out.

Based on that article, "Michael" was an unmedicated schizophreniac. He, and his family, are lucky he got care.

Anyway, there's been a study on computer gaming and depression. It concluded that there was a correlation, but could not determine causality (ie, were they depressed because they played more, or did they play more because they were depressed?).

Personally I see computer gaming as any other type of escapism - listening to music, watching TV, building model railways or whatever - and find it pretty natural that people with real-world problems will seek refuge in virtual worlds.

Of course he was a WaMo. All WaMos are suicidal.

Ok, aside from poking fun, this age group (teens to ealy adulthood) is usually when schizophrenics have their first episodes. A good book on the subject of teens and mental illness is Lisa, Bright and Dark. If any of you care to read it, I reccommend it. It's about a manic-depressive teenager whose parents, counselors, teachers all turn a blind eye to her progressing symptoms. Only her concerned friends try to get her some help. Unfortunately, teenagers with mental illness still have difficulty getting the help they need since the adults in their lives often don't recognize signs/symptoms until it's too late.

Wait if Gaming makes me violent what does it make for those who create the games? Are they mad scientists?

They are all characters from Mortal Kombat.

That's right, Scorpion made Guild Wars.

WoW, talk about paranoid 0_o. I wonder why he would think he was interesting enough for the neighbors to take pictures of him though.

Becasue he's schizophrenic.....

Son of Sam Killer thought his neighbor's dogs were talking to him and that they were representatives of whatever dark force told him to kill people. Schizophrenic people literally hear and/or see things that aren't there. Watch A Beautiful Mind. And even that is very mild compared to the stark reality of dealing with a delusional/hallucinating patient.

Im 15, violent and depressed. Not kidding. But guess what? I play Guildwars because it HELPS with those. I take my anger out on Shiro or the Lich for the 1000th time, or I go do something that makes me happy, like waste all my money on something shiny. Escapism it is, but it is far preferable to me sitting in a room listening to some emo band and cutting myself...

Media nowadays really like to make out gaming is the big evil of this century, but the truth is that life isn't that simple, you can't blame gaming for everything
I notice a trend here.

"Kids shoot people at school" Toy guns and crazy goth rock band's fault

"Crime rate goes up" Rap's fault

"Guy walks in with a shotgun and kills people at work" Violent video game's fault

Hmm I wonder what this says
